Caveat: In this thread, I am not inquiring about seller newsletters, putting listing titles in bold, using advertising tools, or any tweaks that cost money. I am simply looking for things I can do within settings that will cause listings to get better exposure in things like "Similar Sponsored Items" or "Sponsored Items Inspired by Your Views", "People who viewed this item also viewed", etc etc.
I seem to remember that listings having 1-day or same-day handling got more exposure. Also, those having free shipping got a bump in exposure.
Can you verify that this is true? Are there other such factors that can also increase exposure?
Thanks!

To get your listing into those two sections, you need to "spend money", so that falls into the "cost money" category.....
I did not see any listings for you currently...but I have found that the most organic way to improve your visibility are:
Keyword rich titles (80 characters) that MAKE SENSE...not just jibberish with keywords
Using the full potential of the 'item specifics' creating your own lines you feel that a buyer would use to try and find your item.
I know this sounds conflicting, but in my 'A' - 'B' testing, for some reason sometimes shorter, to the point, titles get higher ranking for 'Best Match" than long-tail titles....dunno...but that is only recently
Research your shipping costs....it has evolved into a large percentage of the total sale in recent years...and there are a multitude of ways to get your items to your buyer...and you can get an edge over the competition by knowing ALL you shipping options/costs....
oh...sheer volume helps too...LOL

If you want your listing to be in a "Sponsored Items" section, your listing needs to pay to promote them. That is what "sponsored" means.
I seem to remember that listings having 1-day or same-day handling got more exposure. Also, those having free shipping got a bump in exposure. Can you verify that this is true? Are there other such factors that can also increase exposure?
"Bump in exposure" is an incredible vague term. If you are talking about the Best Match algorithm, that is an incredibly complex scoring system that considers dozens if not hundreds of factors, and the algorithm is not published. So there is really no way to verify or measure the results of changes that you make.
But generally speaking, everything eBay suggests that you do to a listing probably impacts Best Match. Free shipping, same or one-day shipping, having a generous return policy, having a low price, repeat sales, seller rating, low return rates, low dispute rates, etc. probably all play into Best Match.
But IMHO, what you choose to sell has a far greater impact on exposure and placement and sales than the details of the listing itself.
