Maybe no one told you but Americans get more from Canada than Canadians from the US. Also Trump paused the tariffs because of our own stock market going down. he finally realizes it's not helpful to us.

Once the red states get hit harder and stock market goes down even more ! Then Orange Butterball 45/47 will have to drop the foolish tariffs once and for all and or dies of a widow maker heart attack. One has to ask who pushed Tariffs into his fried brains .

from what I hear from friends who work there, the customers don't want any USA goods.
Doubt it.

That has been all over the news the last few days. Multiple channels and interviews with multiple retailers in Canada.

I have post on some threads on Ebay.Ca boards and number posters can't figure out how Orange butterball 45/47's claims about high numbers of fontanel coming through from Canadian boarder's into the US . when it has been the case . among wanting to take Canada over . The funny thing is in his first term he never said these things or had any interest. And this goes for Panama also until he refused pay tax's he owed them .

My ex-husband works for the liquor store in Ontario and said people have been coming in since the tariff threat (and it's increasing as time goes forward) asking how to tell which goods are US goods (if it's not readily marked). Several provinces have pulled US alcohol even though it's already been paid for and Ontario liquor store shelves are very bare since a third of their wine was US wine.
Our local supermarket is not stocking any US grown produce anymore. (That's a big unfortunate, things like peppers are not surviving the long journey from Mexico and aren't as nice as the peppers we used to get). Produce in general is not so nice. I wouldn't pick and choose based on country of origin, I discriminate by price, if the US stuff is tariffed and costs too much I buy other things. It's a huge store with goods from all over the world, there are lots of choices of things to eat there. Eggs and Dairy always come from Canada. I don't think we import meat either.
