Image search no longer working since yesterday

Has anyone else had this same problem?

Starting yesterday, 7/8/24, the image search feature on eBay isn’t working properly anymore. When I do search for an image the results are a bunch of random listings that look nothing like and have nothing in common with the image that I searched for. This happened to me a few months back and wasn’t resolved until I found someone else dealing with the same issue and we posted about it on here and the support team reached out to us.
I have made sure that my eBay app and phone are updated, I have restarted both the app and my phone several times.
I’m using an iPhone 12 Pro, IOS 17.5.1

Can anyone help me resolve this issue? Thank you so much.

Yes, seemingly random items appear as search results from image search, even tried it on items I previously searched and now it's not working...

Same thing has happened to me too since yesterday. Think I just updated it yesterday.

In the past there have been similar issues with image search returning apparently unrelated or only loosely related items. Disabling lockable filters has helped in the past, but does not seem to help with this latest problem.

If you want to report this to eBay, try shaking your phone while using the app to trigger a submission form, though it appears that eBay is aware of the issue now.

Try image search again later. Possibly after the next update it will work better again.

Yea, everything with eBay is getting WAY more expensive, hidden fees, nonsense "postal adjustments", any way they can squeeze more money out of the seller. I think they stopped paying Google or one of the other awful tech companies. Just use Google Lens, it works about 30% of the time as Google is also getting worse. If I was starting from scratch, I would go with FBM, Amazon or Mercari, also terrible, but less fees, a LOT less fees. And, instead of the technology and "algorithm" getting WORSE, the other companies actually improve upon their tech, I have no idea what eBay is investing in, but I'm 100% sure they only hire qualified applicants that know how to excel at their jobs, sarc.
