Did you mean:

If your item sells for $10,000 or more, you agree to accept payment via Escrow.com SAY WHAT?

I just went to list a lot of cards for 12.99 & this popped up in my listing page

If your item sells for $10,000 or more, you agree to accept payment via Escrow.com and to allow eBay to amend your return policy to offer 7-day returns. Learn more

Since when did this happen? I never heard about this before.

FTR If anything of mine ever did sell for 10000 or more I would probably faint.

I just love how ebay keeps changing the rules midstream without telling sellers (Unless I somehow missed this).

If you were listing for $12.99, then obviously that rule would not apply to you.

Did you perhaps leave out the decimal point, which would make it look like you are listing for $1299.00, as in twelve hundred and ninety nine dollars?

I know it dont apply to me. Yes it still was in there on a 12.99 BIN listing LMAO! But my post is more the point of ebay always throwing things at sellers & the fact I never saw this mentioned anywhere & I consider myself usually up to date on changes here.

They've been pushing watches lately.

The pop ups are just marketing tools.

The watches I knew about. This is football cards.

This was not a marketing tool. This was a mandate listed as I was listing the item under the BIN Price.

This is the first I have heard about this. But here is what the current "Paying for items" page says:

Ways to pay
In most categories, sellers accept PayPal or credit cards, but they may also offer other options as well, such as Apple Pay or Google Pay. You'll find the payment methods your seller accepts by going to the Shipping and Payments section of the listing.

Checks, money orders, and bank wire transfers aren't allowed for most eBay purchases. However, you can use these payment methods to buy vehicles, capital and business equipment, real estate, and items you pick up in person. See our Payment methods policy for more details.

If you're buying a vehicle, you can also pay with Escrow.com. You can find out more in our article about buying vehicles, parts and accessories.

If you're buying a wristwatch $10,000 or above (after seller discounts but before shipping and taxes), you're required to pay with Escrow.com. For wristwatches, eBay covers any service fees charged by Escrow.com for use of its services.

I saw nothing in the last seller update. But I do see now this did sneak into the user ageement:

"For items listed in certain categories, subject to certain programs, and/or offered or sold at certain price points, eBay may require the use of certain payment methods, subject to our Payments methods policy. For example, for inventory covered by authentication services, buyer and sellers may be subject to escrow and/or payment handling requirements"
