If you upgrade your store will you be charged immediately for full amount?

I have money going to my checking account and money processing, I need to upgrade my store, what and when will I be charged?   I'd be going from  starter to basic and bill monthly. I don't have any money in my checking account nor my pending payments. I also got 83 items ending today.  I could delete those items and relist them in about a week but that would be counter productive. I'm attempting an experiment to practice what I preach in regards to how sales are generated on ebay these days.  Listing imo supersedes all other things and you need roll over coverage(your listings not your car):D. You do not need even a title or item specifics if you're always listing. Ebay is a picture book.  Those are only embellishments. So would it be okay to just upgrade and eventually they charge me?

It is my understanding they invoice you immediately as it is treated as a "new" subscription and they pro-rate that new subscription for the number of days left in the month.  

Go to Subscription Management (Under the Store TAB) in the Seller Hub to view your options.  When does your Store subscription renew each month?  Once you click that tab, it tells you the date, etc.  Ours is on the 1st of each month, so if I were to make a change, I would make it on 2-28-22.

I'm not sure I had few choices. I was about to get tagged with a $25 bill anyway for listing fees. So I just signed up. I was damned if I do damned if I don't.  Oh and I got that ohhhh so generous coupon of $25 and bought 25 boxes for $1.5 or so.  A dollar a box,  what a deal.  😄 I really need at least 1000 listings for starters.  It's not like I can wait around for government to give me funds.  Let's see I was selling Halloween stuff and my holiday was shut down.  After trying to work through it in 2020 I applied for unemployment and was accepted like a week before the program ended.  They gave me the run around.  My state gave out $2.7B in over payments and has already forgiven $1B.  some of the people were eligible.  I got nothing.  I was told because of the pandemic I could get a loan. I did not get 1 call back from a bank . I need raw materials so I can make things and the only way to do that now is to list a lot.  List anything.
