I wanted to share something I have discovered that ebay is now foing to the search results..and I think it is wrong that they are doing... first they have placed a link under all of our listings in the search results that links to other sellers products..and some sellers like my self that have new items listed are being told the items have been refurbished ! why would ebay do this ???? All I all know is my sales have been down 98 % the last 3 weeks and now I know why ! Thanks Ebay !!!

Your mistaken. They are all new. Also the items below your search have been there for years not just 3 weeks so that is not the reason for your low sales.

Doesn't matter that they are all new. That ebay lists them as new and refurbished is disgusting. They should catch this type of thing before it goes live, but ebay doesn't care much for testing the waters before jumping in the deep end.

Yep. I posted about this a few weeks ago. Was looking for a t-mobile phone. Hey, here's a link for cheaper! Clicked on it. First result was a listing for a stolen phone with a bad ESN listed under 'used' instead of for parts.
Why on G-s green earth would you steer a buyer away from a listing that they are showing interest. You got em ebay. Right there, right now. You're only one step away from landing a new fee for the sale. That is the moment you decide to YANK them away to garbage for parts listings and used diapers with a bot technology that is junk on it's best day? "Yeah, but everybody else is doing it.." Such a lack of vision. Such a waste and a shame for what could have been a great and unique company.
ebay - one step closer in the race to the bottom on Highway Amazon.

Just another reason why ebay gets no love from google..re directing to another page that is not related at all google hates this and will punish ebay even more now this will cause google to de index the intire ebay site..good job ebay ..keep this up and I will have enough money to buy your business myself lol

My sales have been up the past few weeks..
Perhaps that's because I don't sell the same thing everyone else is.

I'm all for recycling - but dang, refurbished diapers. That is a little much.
And something like that has been on ebay for at least 5 years now.....Under feminine napkins category that ebay has - sellers with vintage ones have the choice between new and used for condition.
If ebay can get buyers to click around checking other listings, ebay could be luring them to 'sponsored' listings that pay per click. And if ebay can make that extra half penny before the buyer purchases, you know they will be clutching it.
And from what I have seen when I do searches - the lure buyers off a listing the way you are showing is only happening in certain categories and only with new items. So the solution is to not sell new stuff.
