Don't complain that it didn't get delivered in three days like all your other packages (someone who is arguing with me there's no delays with mail). It says "in transit, arriving late". That means it's arriving late. That means it won't arrive in three days. That means you need to be patient and wait for it to arrive.
I don't promise delivery time and for the most part my coins have been delivered pretty quickly. Why is it the one time a package is a few days late I need to receive 15 messages a day from the buyer asking me to do something about it? I responded that it's in USPS hands, all they can do is just wait for it to be delivered.

I paid $20 for my package to arrive in three days because the items are time-sensitive and living material... Normally I wouldn't care, but in my case, I did pay for the rush and it was not fulfilled.

That's not in the seller's control, you know that right?

I surmise this is because normal buyers don't contact me about their package being a few days later so I would never notice. At some point I go to the paid section of my eBay and go through archiving stuff that shows as delivered to clean things up a bit.

I think what is really happening is that the gods look down and see who is buying something, notice it is 'that' person, grin wickedly at each other and decide what they can do this time to really aggravate that particular buyer, and then loose all barrels on them. Unfortunately, many times, us mere mortals are simply collateral damage - right place at the wrong time.
I mean, have to look at the bright side once in a while. Right? 😁

I feel your pain along with a lot of the other sellers who went through the nightmares of the Christmas season, the postal delays, the INR cases, eBay doing nothing about the issues, the errant refunds, the lost packages, the ............... One can only hope there were some lessons learned from last Christmas and we don't have a repeat this year.

I feel for ya! We sell used auto parts, so I expect on occasion that when something is being delayed by the shipper that I am going to get messages. Their car is broken beyond driving, or not legal to drive because of what is broken. Same thought process as you though, once it leaves my hands, there is nothing I can do about it. The post office doesn't work for me, nor any other carrier. And your correct, it only ever seems to happen to that one customer that just has no patience or understanding about how backed up carriers in general are.
I think I would find it more frustrating in your position though...they are waiting for a coin for the love of God.
They aren't going to starve, power isn't getting shut off. They can still make it to work (assuming they have a job).
So, yeah, I definitely can see where the frustration comes from.

We won't even mention Canada (non) Post. (ask some Canadians about postal delays during Covid if you need a good nightmare or two.) I did have one bracelet go all around the mulberry bush this winter going from my town to the next one over, but no other real nightmares. Fortunately the buyer was laughing about it as hard as I was.
