If eBay values the Sellers then Why is the eBay Stores page so 1999?

http://stores.ebay.com/

All these changes and still the eBay Stores Homepage has been completely abandoned. The links on the banner dont even work.

If they really wanted to help the seller I would think someone would have caught this....

And remember when one of the perks of having a Premium Store was getting your store listed on the homepage. Not a big seller anymore me thinks. unamused

I'm going to take a guess and say hardly anyone goes to that page. Ebay has alot of abandoned live pages that are just sitting in limbo where ebay doesn't even have any links to point to that page. Did you click onto that page from a link?

I'm not sure many buyers go to that page to search for a store and buy. That would explain why ebay failed to update it.

Yep.  There's likely no live navigation it anywhere on the site (or it's well hidden), and now it's forgotten and abandoned.  If you click the Shop By Category, all the categories I clicked on come back with 0 Stores found.  I KNOW there's Coin Stores on eBay, but all the URLs have been changed, and none of the links on the abandoned page will work anymore.

I promise you though, there are active links to this page out on the www somewhere, nothing on the www ever really goes away.

On the homepage, the only navigation I see to stores is way down at the bottom.

Under "Buy", there's a link "Stores".

If you click it, it doesn't go to that old page, it goes here:

https://pages.ebay.com/seller-center/run-your-store/why-get-an-ebay-store.html

LOL!

The link in the site map though (clearly a recently updated page), it takes you to the old page we're discussing.

https://pages.ebay.com/sitemap.html#buy

Clearly, eBay is not really interested in directing buyers to anyone's store.

Whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaat! Joe, say it isn't so! I thought eBay and I were partners?

What is an eBay Store?

What is an eBay Store? Well it's kinda of like the Easter Bunny.

- An eBay Store is your all-in-one online-business solution.... [cough cough] and our tool that we use to drive your buyers to other seller's merchandise .... to get more out of the eBay marketplace and millions of buyers.

- eBay Stores create a central shopping destination where buyers can learn more about you and other seller's merchandise [cough cough] and occasionally your merchandise.

- Get exclusive marketing and merchandising tools, plus customization features to build a brand that keeps customers coming back.... [cough cough] and allows us to divert your repeat buyers to other seller's merchandise.

OMG I haven't read the thread yet, but when I click on "See All Premium Stores" it says "0 Stores Found in this Category". I can click the ones that they have listed on that link, but those are it.

I'm not a psychiatrist but I would think this is actually a pretty telling example of the real intentions of eBay.

I mean if they really wanted to help sellers the least they could do is update the Stores Homepage more then once every 12 YEARS.

Its ok, eBay forgot it existed also. Smiley Wink

By the way to those that think its not linked much your dead wrong. It has links everywhere. Do a Google search for that URL and you'll get A LOT of results.

Also check all the links on the sidebar. None of them work. No stores in any category. How hard is it to update a single page.

eBay.. I know HTML, CSS. Ill update the page for you. Heck I need to make some money somehow. If its not selling on eBay maybe I can make a buck fixing it....
