So I recently started selling on Ebay and I'm not looking to start a business, but occasionally due to my hobby(s) I may come across things that I want to sell. I recently made a sale and of course I got charged my final sale cost which is about 10% of the sale price and shipping if I charge shipping so that's fine. So I also then noticed that paypal also charged me a fee for accepting the payment. My main question stems from my attempt to research where what paypal charges for with respect to ebay and I came across this article: https://www.ebay.com/help/selling/fees-credits-invoices/fees-using-paypal?id=4123 . As of now I can only afford to accept payments into my paypal but I don't want paypal to charge me fees on top of the ebay selling fees. This article seems to imply that PayPal only charges fees for accepting payments from a buyer using paypal. This brings me to the question in the title/subject, if I choose not to accept paypal and instead only accept debit/credit (those are the only payment options that I can remember right now) will paypal still charge a fee for accepting the money/payment from a sale?

If you get paid by Paypal, there is a processing fee.
If you get paid by credit/debit card, there is a processing fee.
If you get paid by an online payment method, there is a processing fee.
Someone has to process those payments, and they don't do it for free.

All forms of payment are run through Paypal (or Ayden, which you'll find out about later), so not wanting to pay a processing fee for you to get paid is along the lines of not wanting to get wet while swimming..... it just won't happen.

You are describing managed payment by eBay however the fee's eBay is charging for this is actually higher than PayPal. They are also talking about in the future charging a additional .25 or .35 cents per item sold for processing the payment on top of the percentage they take for processing the sale.

There is a reason why I mentioned that a) I am not starting a business, just occasionally selling like as little as one thing every few months and b) PayPal is the only option I can afford to use. I appreciate the advice but I kinda made clear PayPal is my only option so this advice, though fully valid and the effort is greatly appreciated, was worthless.
