If I canceled an Open Case, does that void and cancel the transaction?

So a seller still hasn't shipped my item. Opened a case requesting the item. Decided to cancel that open case just because the seller informed the item is backordered. Now I'm worried that voids and cancels my order. Please tell me it doesn't? Thanks.

Closing the case doesn't cancel the order.

You should have kept the case open and got your refund.

If the seller never ships your item, you won't be able to file another case on Ebay, but you can on Pay Pal.
