What a joke to delay at the end of the year, what about those who didn't sell at all in 2022 to avoid the taxation? Pitiful.

Yes I do know that - thanks - though in several cases the poster was evidently hitting the Reply button immediately below the OP -- which does not give you an In Response To link -- but apparently actually replying to someone else.
My point was the posted reply fragments make no sense without the quote to show what they were responding to. What WAS posted was not by itself worth chasing down to see what it was in reply to.

This is a total lie -- I got the 1099 last year from ebay and I was no where near the $20k or 200, they already implemented it as soon as congress passed it in 2021. You will get a form whether you sell $200 or 20k I promise you.

You are posting on threads that are over a year old and most of them got their answers. Should you have any issues or concerns, it's always a good idea to start your own thread to get the help and advice you need. Lots of good people here on this forum who can be helpful.
Happy Holidays.

Some states have set their own, lower thresholds. Your listings indicate that you're in New Jersey, where the threshold is $1,000.

Just be an American citizen and pay your tax like everybody else.

If you received a 1099 from eBay and your sales were no where near $20k and 200 that would only mean it was your state that required eBay send the 1099.
