Buyer used lobby person to get packages in motel... they screwed up and said "no one here like that"... and so USPS sent it back to me. Ive successfully shipped to this Buyer a few times in the last year. The condition upon return was marginal, and thank goodness no creases, statins, etc. BUT the items are a little 'wavy' from being partially bent. It went from AR to AK and back!

So, do I...

1. Cancel transaction for Insufficient address?

2. I suggested using employers address with an update to eBay

Do I need to get them to cancel order on their end? Or just wait and see what happens...

I believe if you cancel the transaction it will refund shipping as well. If not a lot of money and you want to eat it, that's fine. Otherwise, better option might be too refund the amount minus shipping and fees. Then relist.

I'm pretty sure eBay sees your part as done in the matter if it gets returned. So if you are ok eating the cost of shipping. You can always get the correct address and send it again. Or get their PayPal and invoice shipping and resend that way. Or refund. Relist. And they can buy again.

Since you're a TRS that offers 30-day Returns, you could have reduced the amount of the refund if a Return had happened... since the value has been lowered.

With that being said... what have you got in the drop-down menu? If you have the ability to Refund, will it allow you to adjust the amount of the refund? If so, try that.

I've never experienced your situation, so wait and see (from other posters) what holes there are in my 'hypothetical'... 🤔
