INR help

It's been several years since I've had one and want to make sure of the process. Buyer files, tracking states delivered, their message to me says they're checking with their Post Office. Can I send the buyer a message, and then go back and add the tracking in the second step, or do I add the tracking number first, then message the buyer?   I don't remember the send message part, but as I said, it's been several years and I don't want to lose the ability to add the tracking if I send the message first. (Does this make sense?)  Thanks!

You have a INR case opened. You need to resolve it. I would enter the tracking number into the case and call eBay (if it shows delivered) and have them close it in your favor BEFORE you attempt contact with the buyer. If they close it, I wouldn't even contact the buyer. You might want to add that buyer to your special list. 😉

HI  I would add the tracking info 1st but you can send a message too and even more mesaages if needed. That option is there so you CAN communicate. Buyer could have an old address left in the system which happens more than it should. But sometimes packages do get left on another block or next door. If shows delivery then you may want to call CS and be sure of your next stepbut either way your covered.

Thanks, y'all.

Good news, the buyer reports that the package was delivered to the neighbor by mistake and she now has it in hand.

I entered all the info in the case and will call to have it closed as soon as we get out of all these tornado warnings.

I think you can just leave the case open for a while because eBay will be prompting the buyer to click "I got the package."  If it goes for an extended period and the case remains open, then you can take action to close it.  In any case you can send the tracking info in the case.

Stay safe!  Not sure where you're located but we've been getting the backwash from Harvey all week here in Mississippi.  Rain all over the southland.

Yeah, I noticed that it's now back to the buyer for a response or action. I'm sure she'll close it out. If not I'll call and close it or whatever. I added all the tracking info already along with the buyer's message.

Northeast MS here, yeah y'all been getting rained on a lot! We're getting the feeder bands with all the radar indicated rotations. We've had three pass by so far, a couple were pretty impressive but no funnels or tornadoes as of yet. I think there has been one tornado visual in Tippah Co. but no touchdowns or damage anywhere as of yet.

Scary stuff.  Really don't like tornado weather.  A goodly portion of my yard is flooded but nothing unusual (it's wetland anyway), and rain is till coming in bands.  Me, about 30 miles inland from the Coast.
