Hello
I would like to ask everyone that I received a message from ebay that my account was frozen. because I used to sell pirated goods
I have talked to the plaintiff's lawyer according to the Mail sent by eBay, that is, that way has replied to me as follows.
Please note, this case is currently closed. However, our client is willing to settle this matter and release the hold on your account for $1,000, plus you agree to forfeit any funds that have already been defaulted.
Please advise whether you accept these terms.
Is that means the case is over or not? How can he still claim damages and have this message after I negotiate down to $500?
I'm sorry, but the lowest authority I have to settle this matter for is $1,000. Please advise
Should I pay him $1000 and how can I be sure it's safe if I already pay him? So how do I get back to selling on eBay again?
Thank you for the answer in advance.
Best regards,
Sitar

How is your account frozen? This sounds like a scam.

Hi!
I can see your items for sale. As stated above it could be a scam.

Unless you are dealing with a court & a case directly or via your lawyer, you will not receive resolution. But, do not expect to automatically be allowed back on the platform either. Admitting to the commerce in pirated goods is a taboo in the reseller market & society, that carries with it ramifications to your legal ethics.

What account is allegedly frozen, because i see 170+ listings up for you? Your eBay account does not appear to be suspended. Proceed cautiously, this sounds like extortion. Where did the message originate? Was it in your eBay Messages? Your email?

Scam scam scam scam you items are still online

Do you list on another account? You currently have over 170 listings, which indicates that this account isn't frozen.
From whom are you receiving these "messages"?
If you're requesting help, then you need to return here and give every single bit of information you can offer regarding this situation. It does sound like you're being scammed, but it's hard for us to tell for sure unless you give us all the details.

I get a lot of phone calls claiming to be from Amazon saying someone bought an item ($500.00 or more).
I always reply I don't have an Amazon account. This is a scam. I also get calls claiming I won a free stay at hilton hotels or won a free cruise. All are scams. This is most likely another new scam
Also I am now getting text messages claiming my pay pal account or netflix account has been frozen. I don't know how that is possible because I have neither.
Like others above have said. this is most likely a scam.

You can't seriously be considering that lol. Actually the lawyer spoke to me and I negotiated it down to 500$ just send me a message and well get things going XD lmao

Your account is still active as far as I can see. Did you receive this message via your ebay account messages or email? I think this may be a scam attempt. Please be careful.

Sitar, did he ask for payment to be in gift cards?

HI!
OH MY GOSH, we get at least 6 scam phone calls a day. If I have time & feel good I play along with some of them. I like seeing how much time of theirs I can waste. I like it when I can waste 10 minutes or more of there time😊

Did you have listings removed by ebay that referred to VeRO reports?
What were the "pirated" items you admit to selling?
How did the "lawyer" contact you?
Was it through ebay? If so, the message(s) will be in your ebay messages.
Did you give the "lawyer" your phone number or email address?

How sure are you of the authenticity of the "for Barbie Silkstone Doll Poppy Parker Fashion Royalt Bag Handbag Handmade Brown" that has Louis Vuitton logos? I noticed that you don't use "LV" or "Louis Vuitton" in the listing, description or item specifics.
The messages you're receiving from the (possible) scammer are harmless compared to what might happen if LV sees your listing!

Where is the OP?
I'd think this might be a matter of some urgency.
I hope she hasn't seagulled.
