I was invited to a zoom meeting for eBay Expressions Panel - Group remote session, is this legit?
The email from the lady who confirmed the invitation is from UK which it's weird because I'm in the US .
I just need to know if this is legit?

Did you receive the message through Ebay messages?

Do you participate in ebay expressions surveys with non disclosures so you can't talk about the context/content of the surveys (sorta like Fight Club, lol). If not, they may just be looking for more participants.
I am part of the group and was asked to participate in this panel but I am skipping this one, though, they did send a follow up email asking if I could make it. Normally they don't do that so it led me to believe they were lacking participants.

The Expressions emails are not sent through the ebay message system.

Expressions is a real program. That would be an odd scam, just trying to get you to join a zoom meeting.

I've been a member of the expressions panel for many years.
Will be skipping the zoom meeting while waiting for Cataract surgery.
The messages come through email and not ebay messages.

Hi all - I'm working on finding out more details that I can share, but wanted to let you know that it's this is a legitimate invite
Update as of 1:45 PM PST from the Expressions team:
The expressions team said that they regularly invite sellers from the Expressions panels to participate to Zoom sessions to discuss their seller experience. One of the company we used to help us with this is based in the UK and we like to regularly speak to US Sellers.

That's why I asked...thanks for clarifying.

I'm 67. I want the same.

Well, I am 75 and sell on eBay Australia. I do want to give them a (very small) piece of my mind on a number of issues. So I will take a chance on this but will be wary of any/most questions giving out too much personal detail.

I get where you’re coming from, but here is some advice as someone who has worked in tech. Anyone who asks for email, and phone number is a potential scam and should be taken seriously. That’s all they need to mask a number and steal your account info via 2 factor authentication. It can seem a bit fishy (pardon the pun) because they should have that info on file already, or else how did they send an email? These fishing schemes are getting almost fool proof. I also took some time to look into this and I do believe it is legit as you say, but it is not strange to think it is a scheme. Just be careful out there! Always use protection online…. Wow that sounded bad.

@thegardenstatepicker Ummmm, ok. I don't recall having asked for advice. Secondly, I worked in IT my entire life. OP joined the Expressions program. Then got an email to join a Zoom, which it's very clear when you join the program that you may be asked to participate in Zoom meetings. What account would they steal? Her Zoom account? She most likely doesn't have a Zoom account (you don't need one to use Zoom, which is part of why it's so popular). Yes, they have her email b/c she gave it to them when she joined the Expressions program. Of course you s/b careful online, but this is clearly not a phishing scheme!
