There are many across the country- but they're not cities- they're buildings. Unknown is used as the location name when a sorting facility is assigned its own zip code.

I don't know if this is an urban legend or not, I can't seem to find info on it in google.

But I remember hearing about a small little area (like a 5x5 space or something) in Norcal. Maybe near San Francisco. That area is legally not part of US territory or something like that. I remember people saying you can technically go there and do anything illegal like do/sell drugs or murder someone... who would also have to be in that small area with you as well, and not get arrested. That area was "unknown."
