Ha ha ha. I realize that sounds harsh. But yea, why can't ebay have a link within the Manage Orders page under the "Actions" Pulldown to "block buyer"? I mean it already has an action there to "Report Buyer".
This will be much faster than having to go to the blocked buyers page and copy/pasting the name and adding a comma, then clicking submit. And yes, I'm a stinker.

But just think, those 3 extra clicks give you the opportunity to re-think your decision. 🙂

Why?
Perhaps it is EBay's way of helping to focus you more on being a presence on ebay to do business, with the goal of generating profits for yourself, & not provide you a quicker, easier, more efficient way to block buyers.

Do you really have to block so many buyers that the extra 15 seconds of web page navigation is that much of an inconvenience?
I do believe I only blocked two buyers this year. There was a third I was considering blocking, but as a person who suffers from a lot of anxiety (including receiving parcels, the only reason I don't bug sellers is because I get so many parcels I can't keep track of which ones haven't arrived yet), I understood this buyers anxiety about getting his coin and decided to give him a chance.

I was thinking why does this seller need to block so many people, but then again I looked at your number of listings and you probably do need to do more than most.
When I was a powerseller and had those type of issues I used to write down the names on a paper next to my computer and then would add all the bad buyers to the list. Back then you were limited to 25 or 50 blocked bidders. Is there still a limit on the number of bidders you can block?

5000 is the limit.
When I see what @bigdeals.etc sells (and quantities) I understand the frustration. I actually don't really sell much in that category anymore due to all the hassles and problems.

Well think about this though... with the extra time saved by my suggestion, I could use that time to pop out more listings and sales for more buyers thus making being a bigger presence on eBay, generating more profits, and making more buyers happy. Haha.
In all honesty though, I probably block one buyer every 1-2 months, if that. But even decades ago, I’ve always found that the BBL system on eBay is very archaic. It’s basically a text file with commas that can easily be deleted by accident when amending. Not to mention the high probability of typos. There can easily be an improved system.

Oh I also want to add, all this would also be helpful and suggested for the BEL “buyer exempt list”. Because that system is run exactly the same way as BBL... archaic.
I can’t see reasons why ebay would intentionally make it tough for me to make a buyer exempt so they can buy from me.

I don't think most seller block buyers as easily as you do. I think it was you that we have had this conversation before. Right?? You felt the BBL list didn't have enough space?? Is my memory serving be correctly?

Currently there’s a 5000 ID max in the BBL list. I’ve been on eBay with this account since 2003. If you do the math, I’d have to have an average of about 1 buyer blocked every 1.25 days for 17 years to hit that max. And you think I need more space?
My issue is the way the blocked users and exempt users systems are currently set up. There’s far more redundancies for other actions on eBay... multiple ways to do a certain action within ebay. But for blocking and exempting (is that a word?) buyers, there seems to be only one tedious way.

What are the coded numbers on the bottom of my blocked buyer list? What buyers do they represent? I have a few dozen - a bunch of numbers@deleted.
I block buyers if they ask a question and I can see they've left negative feedbacks that seem unwarranted or if they start complaining before they even buy.

I believe they are from buyer IDs that are no longer registered on eBay. Correct me if I’m wrong, but the list is dynamic and I think it changes as buyers change their screen names too. So those numbers@deleted are from NARU accounts. It should be fine to delete them all from your list.

Another reason to mourn the loss of toolhaus 😞
They had a tool where you copied your BBL, pasted it in the box and they cleaned it up for you. You then just copy/pasted it back.
