I sold a camera on ebay and regret it...

I sold a camera on ebay, but before i sent the package
I recorded a video for the package that i sent it, how did I pack it and i weight it(preventive reason).
when the buyer received it they claimed that was missing items.
The box that I sent was brand new unopened with the security seal on it.
She claims that from the package are missing the battery , tha battery charger ,- cables and the manual....

Now is asking return and refaund.

What can be done.?
what should I keep an eye from this point?

Thank you for your time

Nothing can be done. If/when the buyer opens an official 'return' all you can do is accept. Video and Pictures are NOT allowed for any proof (as they can easily be of another item and there is NO PROOF what you shipped.

EBAY Money Back Guarantee (supersedes "no return" policy) and allows customers to return item by claiming "not as described, defective, counterfeit" (you will be forced to refund purchase price + shipping BOTH ways).  Customers are NOT required to prove their claim.

EBAY always rules in favor of customer.   If you try to appeal claim "you will lose case" and be forced to pay additional $20 fee and get penalty against you account.

And, depending on how you conduct business....it's not exclusive to eBay.
Back in the day, I took a video of an engine, in a vehicle...starting, running, driving, oil pressure, dash gauges, the whole 9 yards.  (20 minute video).
So, that when I sold the engine, I'd have proof.
Two weeks later, I sold the engine to another salvage yard (30 day warranty).
They sold it to their customer and it came back, locked up, no good.
We assumed it was installed and started without oil (best guess based on taking the engine apart when it was returned to me).
    SO, that video?
It was just a video of a good engine.
Might or might not been of the engine I shipped.
If it was THE engine. It proves it WAS good. Didn't prove anything after I turned the key off. Didn't stop the warranty.  Didn't do anything except upset me  more than I would have been upset otherwise.

Sorry that you are dealing with that.

This is assuming they opened a return request at this point.

Keep messages and all communications clean and not personal. Do not make any accusations, claims or insults. Try to help them by providing the pictures you have (include them on the return messages) to help bolster your claim.

Accept the return (Ebay will issue regardless) and when it arrives check to see if it matches what the buyer claims. Once you refund the buyer, you can dispute the return and should also report the buyer separately. Ebay will review it for you and may cover you for the loss.

There is not much more you can do to prevent someone from taking advantage of the MBG.

It was sold as New so assuming you are a dealer of the camera line, if you reach out to them to see if they can provide replacement parts may solve the return. Also, assuming this is not a previous return/repack.

Good luck.

Just to be a thorn in the side....

You said it had the security seal on it....so that tells me you never opened it..which, factually stating, means you don't know for sure if those items were in that box when you acquired it.....

I don't think that is what happened, because I don't know from where/when you acquired it.....

In the meantime, by all means...follow the return protocols to get your item back (and save you grief and aggravation)...procure the missing items from another source and resell it...

Since you did not open the box the camera came in, you do not know what it contained.  Maybe the parts she says were missing, were missing.  It happens.  I know I've bought brand-new items only to open up the boxes and find that parts are missing.

In any event, ss others have said, this all you can do:  When she opens the Item Not As Described claim, send the return label and let the refund process normally when you get the item back.  Then you can relist the camera and recoup most of your money.  The cost of the return postage is an expense on your Schedule C for your tax return.

If you fight this, if you do not accept the return, eBay will process the refund and tell the buyer to keep the camera, as well as the money.

Finally, do not waste any more time making videos of your packing, etc., as videos are proof of nothing.

You get neither a penalty or a $20 fee for appealing a case.

If there is a credit card chargeback (OP has said nothing about such) and you fight it and lose, there is a $20 fee, but thats not the case here based on the post.

There is of course, as posted by others, the rare possibility that those items were missing from that "sealed" item, but I'm more inclined to believe that the buyer needed all those things for a camera that was already in their possession.

I really don't like it that my mind heads in that direction. I think that reading about such eBay experiences has swayed my perspective of people.

I once found a GoPro Hero3 on a log jam in a local river. A kayaker had lost it. I purchased the extra items needed to make it functional, not even realizing that I could have just scammed someone out of what I needed.

Not much that you can do about it, but possibly some packaged weight comparisons when the item is returned will help you to determine what the facts are.

Yes, you have all right, I don't know what is in the box, because I assume everything was inside with the security seal.

I bought it from an official reseller, I called them and explained my situation, their answer was..we are hearing for the first time about such a thing for missing parts.
