I sell several things that would easily fit in an envelope like coupons and matchbooks.

However the special envelope rate doesnt come up so I have to pay $4.00 instead of 63c so I get a tracking number.  have any idea what I can do?

Either increase the price of your shipping charge, or your product, to cover the postage and get the tracking. You can then just print your labels from ebay. It's much easier for INR cases and I think more confidence with a buyer too when you have tracking.

Hopefully, there are other sellers that still use stamps that will respond too.

There's only certain items that can be shipped using Standard Envelope.

There's nothing stopping a seller from shipping these items in an envelope with a forever stamp.

That's assuming the items are flat and weigh less than an ounce.

The seller absolutely needs to mark the item "As shipped" if doing so.

The seller will not be TRS shipping without tracking.

With buyers claiming non-receipt, you might consider charging for GA parcel shipping so you will have proof of receipt by the bueyrs.

On another note, as a seller of coupons, I assume you're aware that expired coupons cannot be sold, right?

You might want to review the policy:

https://www.ebay.com/help/policies/prohibited-restricted-items/coupons-policy?id=4292&st=3&pos=3&que...

From the policy:

The following types of coupons aren't allowed:

  • Expired coupons or coupons that will expire before reaching the buyer
  • Coupons for "free" products
  • Electronic "scanned" coupons
  • Coupons for recalled items
  • Coupon inserts containing other coupons

Matches/Matchbooks are prohibited in Lettermail or any USPS service that may be transported by Air.

Tracking is only required if you want to be TRS, and of course to prove delivery.

Low cost items..................  some just ship with a stamp, and hope that enough buyers are honest so that it makes selling those items pay off on the = side showing a profit after fees/expenses.
