Hi, I have been selling on eBay since 2005 under one seller ID that my son created and setup for me before he passed. He linked the account to Paypal to receive payments. A while back I set up a new ID and web address on eBay as a buyer account. Now, I would really like to link the new ID account to paypal to receive payments and start selling on it. I want to sell on it for the free listings and to start a niche items account. I searched on eBay on how to do it.

The instructions given were to (1. click my eBay at top of eBay page.) done (2. click the Account Tab.) done (3. Click the Paypal Account link on the left side of the page.) done (4. Click the Link My Paypal Account button.) There is No link button on this page to be found.

Under Account, I see (Sign up for PayPal (optional)
If you want to use PayPal to accept buyers' credit card and electronic check payments online, we recommend signing up before you list your first item for sale. Register for PayPal. I click on this and it takes me to a form. I fill out my first and last name. When I put in the new email address, a red triangle pops up under it ( like an error of some kind) and reads; " It looks like your signed up." "Log into your account." It won't let me create a password either. When I click Log into your account, it takes me to my primary sign in form for my other ebay selling account.

I tried to call Paypal and could only get a voice recording. I needed to talk with a live person and it would not let me.

Also on this eBay site, if I have one ID signed in and maybe read something and click on a link, it diverts me back to my other account without me changing it. Why does it keep doing that? This is the acct. I want to start selling on if it doesn't divert to my other account after I click on Post. Please help me. Thank you.

You can just add the new email address to your existing paypal account.

I use a different one for the other E place than I use here, but you can have multiple email addresses in your paypal account for here too.

Thank you for responding. I did add it to my exsisting Paypal acct. but it's like it is for only buying . I could not find where to add bank acct info. or set up selling preferences.

Hi! You can get PayPal customer service to walk you thru this. To reach them, log into your PayPal account. At the bottom of each page is a Help and Contact notice. Click on that. The next page that comes up has a blue banner at the top of the page with several titles. Click on the Call title. It will take you to another page where you'll be given a one-time code to input when you call the number shown for customer service (888-221-1161). Make note of the customer service hours (they're not available 24/7). I hope this helps!
