Hi Everyone. Long time seller. I've been noticing some issues of late when selling on here and wondered if anyone has encountered the same.

I sell comic books. When I first put a listing up I noticed that when I filter newly listed items that my stuff isn't coming up in that column. Even after its been newly put up for 3 or 4 hours. I scroll down and never seen my items. I even go so far as to filter by character, newly listed and nothing.

Also when my items are ending I notice that in the ending soon filter that they aren't coming up. Very bizarre. Anyone else notice this? Would anyone on Ebay even do anything about it if asked? Any thoughts and help is greatly appreciated.

I have had this happen many times. Calling ebay never got me anywhere. CSRs had no idea. What I did find out for some, is when searching, ebay picks a category and only shows those. I just did a search on one of yours. It did not come up, so I looked and ebay was only showing results that were in the Collectibles category, and Comic & graphic novels" subcategory. When I filtered to "show all categories" yours did come up. That tells me you may want to change categories because ebay is not showing results for all. 😞

I think it's a lousy way for them to hide some of our listings.

There seems to be a lot of who knows what happens with the search filters. It does take more than 3 or 4 hours to get indexed when first listed, but since you are an experienced seller you know that. Or are you talking about looking at your own listings in your seller hub?

And, sorry. Some unsolicited please fix this in your comic listings. COMIC BOOKS DO NOT QUALIFY FOR MEDIA MAIL. Yes, I am shouting.

Hi, it can take up to 24 hours for a new listing to index and show up in Search results.

Can you give us a specific example to diagnose?

i.e. the sort you are using, the search criteria you are using, and the listing number you expect to find with them?

You said "I noticed that when I filter newly listed items that my stuff isn't coming up in that column". That is not very specific.

It can take anywhere between 4 hours up to 48 hours. Normally sooner, but sometimes if it is in an oversaturated category the odds are it takes longer.

As another responder pointed out Comic books do not qualify for media mail as comics contain advertizing. If USPS catches this, you will be charged additional postage up to the cost of what Priority Mall costs to mail the comic book.
