This is a trying time for everyone I know.. I don't complain on these forums but today really got to me.
The icing on the cake is getting a negative from a buyer who purchased a set of 2 comic books from us. We gave this person a HUGE break on the price with their best offer AND shipped for "free". Without contacting us at all they gave us a negative feedback stating "has a weird smell." ..
What?? We have been selling since 2005 and have NEVER had a complaint about smell. We are a smoke free, pet and animal free shop and I can't imagine what smell this person is perceiving. We go ABOVE and beyond to pack well, ship immediately and send items in fantastic condition. And during these trying times when we are all just trying to keep ourselves afloat they ding you for a random "smell"? Of course they haven't responded to the inquires that I have sent asking about their issue and offering to help.
I can't contact ebay for obvious reasons and I'm concerned that we will have issues with placement and such over this. We will keep plugging on and doing our best for our customers as always but some days really get to you.
What would you as a seller do?

YES!! This problem was resolved via email with ebay!! Thank you so much! I was getting stressed...
Keep trucking and thank you for assistance if anyone from ebay wanders across this!!

Buyers feel that a world wide pandemic is time to abuse ebay power sellers. I received a negative comment 2 days ago because I questioned return request after they received New HP Ink (closed packaging) after 18 days. They figured I would just refund them , but instead I accepted the return. Now I have a negative comment on my perfect 100% profile for the past 5 years. This is unfair and buyers are abusing the pandemic since we are unable to communicate directly with ebay at this time. How are we suppose to run a small business when our reputations are being abused and are on the line. ebay will not do anything about it. I have emailed them and provided proof that this particular buyer has done this to over 60 other sellers in the past 60 days. Stay safe and Healthy fellow sellers.

Wow! I know its hard to maintain a good record with your buyers and a lot of sellers really go above and beyond to try to keep that record clean by keeping our buyers happy. I'm so sorry to hear that this happened to you.

So apparently your initial post was wrong.
You were able to contact eBay and will not have issues with placement and such.

I posted that original message after I couldn't contact ebay via phone as I always have. Because ebay live customer service is not up because of the virus. (The obvious reason)
My first post was 100% correct and was as I stated.
Clearly I then found a link to email ebay and resolved it that way after which I very clearly stated that I was able to resolve it in that manner.
I am unclear on your intentions on posting "so apparently your initial post was wrong". What purpose did that serve for you?
