If you recently sent an invoice that probably restarted the clock on the 4 days ebay gives the buyer to pay.

Seller hub I believe that's in the drop down menu under cancel order.   You click that

and buyer hasn't paid I think is an option.

You just cancel the order choosing "buyer did not Pay" as the reason.

(This is how the new stream lined process works. The change was made about a year ago.)

https://www.ebay.com/help/selling/getting-paid/cancelling-transaction?id=4136

Click the blue "cancel order" button

OR

https://www.ebay.com/sh/ord/?filter=status:AWAITING_PAYMENT   Find the item and choose cancel order>buyer has not paid  from the dropdown menu.

The easier you are to offend the easier you are to control.

Unpaid item case no longer exists.

Has been quite some time since the change.

Now as dirk129555 posted.

Option to cancel will be there after 4 full days.

I do believe that the option may not appear if you are set up to allow buyers to purchase more than one listing within a set amount of time, or if you have the auto cancel set for the amount of days before cancel.

thank you. I tried the cancel order tab but not paid is not one of the options. Funny thing is when I look at the order it says sold yesterday 4/27 but it actually sold about 8-10 days ago. Thought I would be nice & give buyer some leeway, backfired I guess.

New invoice re-started the clock or maybe the buyer paid.

If the system thinks it sold on 4/27, wait 4 days from 4/27 and the system should then have an option to cancel because buyer didn't pay.

Note that although the name of the Unpaid Item process has changed that the time for the process is shorter now

After four days from purchase (or as mentioned re-invoicing)  we can "cancel" the transaction and it ends immediately, instead of giving the deadbeat another four days to pay.

They still get a Strike  and we can still Block deadbeats with Strikes through our buyer requirements/seller preferences before they can try to buy.

Also, if we use Fixed Price rather than Auction, we can add Immediate Payment Required and our listing will remain visible and active until someone does pay.
