I'm new, sort of, need to relearn the ropes on ebay

Where do I go to learn how to operate as a seller on ebay now days?

I used to sell on ebay a fair bit but that was years in the past and things seem to have changed in how listings and searching works.

I created a buy now listing not quite 2 months ago but it hasn't gotten much attention but I haven't had much time to put much effort into figuring out why.

I got a sale today which prompted me to try and research a little further so I tried to search for the item and see what else was coming up in the same search.

The Item I currently have listed here doesn't show up in search even if I paste the exact title into the search bar, it says 0 match.  I know the listing is active since I have sold a few but it seems like it can't be found!  What's up?

I've sold the product for years on my own web site, not high volume but steady.  I stared selling it in the jungle last fall and it is a steady though not high volume seller there.  How do I get it visible here?  Where do I go to learn more?

r u selling under a different ID because I am not seeing anything listed under your posting ID ?
also I only see 2 feedback so buyers will view u as a newbie 2 selling
Start selling low priced items
you will need 2 build your rep as a seller again
And read all that boring selling information it IS important
Good luck

I used to sell under a different ID But even back then I didn't have huge volume or anything so I created a new account since the old one was a personal account and not associated with my business.

I understand that it will take time to build up a reputation and that isn't really what I'm concerned about.  Right now I'm trying to figure out why the listing is NOT SEARCHABLE.

And NOW it seems it isn't editable either (at least the title.)  GRR  I was able to revise it earlier today?  Does that mean I can't revise it again?

I'm just trying to help here. The only listing I see for your item is the Sold one.

There are no active listings with your title. Then if you click on "sold items" there it is.

Which to me says that you sold the one you listed and need to do either a "Sell Similar" listing or make a new listing if you have more to sell.

When you do a sell similar ----- put in a quantity for how many ever you have.

You can't edit a title on a sold listing.

The listing is for multiple items and is still active. A link to the active listing was posted above, or you can just click on the listing number on the seller's feedback page. Or on the title of the listing,  on the seller's Sold page.  It is an active listing.

Understood.

It is a buy it now  listing that is supposed to be good till canceled and the quantity I have listed is 45

I might try creating a new listing so I can edit the title.

I wondered if that could be it but I HAD revised the listing once earlier today.  Now they did say that what I could edit was limited but the item title was editable earlier today but for some reason it wasn't later.

Anyway, I have created a NEW listing based on the old one and YAY I was able to find it by searching!!!!!!

new item title

Automatic Plant Watering System, Capillary Matting, 3 Foot x 4 Foot, wicking mat

I know, kinda keyword cramming there but since I don't know how to best include keywords and search terms here other than what is in the description text........  Anyway, Thanks all for your help.  Still not sure why the other one became unsearchable but my best guess was the 36" by 48" instead of inch
