So does 50-999, 51-999, 99-999. Thats all I tried, but assume many number ranges produce this.
But what does it mean? Is it harmful to the site?

49-999 is a Oregon carburetor part # that i have searched on Ebay many times before and never had a problem. So now im wondering what the problem is on Ebay when searching by part # only now. Did they change something ?

Is this it?
I had to remove the dash.
"oregon 49 999".

Thank you. Thats exactly what i was looking for. I wonder why the dash makes a difference considering the dash is in all the listings ? Thank you very much for your help. Now it makes me wonder how many Ebay buyers searched Oregon 49-999 or just 49-999 and was shown nothing and just went to Amazon ? So I just went to Amazon with just the part # 49-999 and it popped right up.....

Think the system is recognizing it as a range of numbers (49-999, 49 to 999) and is trying to serve the 999 redirects but running into a server limit.
May have prevented flooding of your computer but I am just guessing at that. Not really sure what would happen if all the redirects were served up.
I would also add that any special symbol could have undesirable results.
