You can have 5 Details and 50 Values for each of those details on a variation listing.
For example, shoes:
Size and Color would be the "Details" - (2 Dropdowns in the listing)
Under those Details you can have 50 Sizes and 50 Colors
Example, buyer can select Size 9 and then Select Blue
If you are using "Shade" as a variation (1 Dropdown), you can have 50 Shades under that.
If your shades are numbered 1-10.5 with .5 in between then you have 20 Variations:
1 - Shade 1
2 - Shade 1.5
3 - Shade 2
4 - Shade 2.5
Etc.
And then add the quantity of each that you have.
Since you are a new seller, you may have restrictions on how many/how much $ you can list.
These are called "Selling Limits" and have nothing to do with how many listing insertions that eBay gives you per month.
A variation listing counts as 1 listing against your "free listings" per month, but your selling limits determine exactly how many/how much$ of individual items that you can list.

Your account you are posting with is considered a New Seller. Sellers now can't use PayPal, you must be signed up for Managed Payments.
Please review the below link carefully. It contains very important information as to how Ebay needs to see the information you provide them on your account. It is likely easier to change your Ebay account to match your bank account if you find there to be a difference.

Ebay has had a rule for many years that pertains to New Seller and sellers that have been away from selling for 90+ days. The following is the policy that outlines why you money is likely on hold.

Be aware that if you haven't sold in over a year, eBay considers you "new" again because things change around here quickly.
Also, if they whacked you for non-payment of your fees, there will definitely be restrictions on this new account ... and ... if they shut you down on the other account, they may just shut this account down too 😞 You are not allowed to create a new account to get around restrictions.
