I sold something today, Thursday (Nov 9th).
Since I read this board every day, I know that:
a) eBay site maintainers mishandled the switch back to Standard Time that happened last Sunday, pushing "ship by" one (mistaken) further day forward.
b) eBay site maintainers were unable to search on the web and discover that although Friday (10th) is a federal holiday, the USPS holiday is Saturday (11th).
I have 1 day handling.
My sale today has the notation "ship by Tuesday, November 14th". Uh huh.
No way am I going to wait for Tuesday and get a Late Shipment/Tracking Uploaded ding on my account metrics. No way, no call to CS and be told that "if it doesn't affect your TSR+ status, we won't do anything".
When I clicked on Print Shipping Label next to the transaction (I use My eBay), the resultant screen had no option to print a label on the 10th (tomorrow). This has been reported on several threads on this board.
However...if I use the bulk label printer ("print 50 or more labels..."), and proceed to the Review and Pay screen, I can choose to print a label for Friday, the 10th. Yea!
This doesn't solve the problem of the glitch created by the DT to ST switch, but at least I can print a label for tomorrow and not have to stand in line at the PO and pay retail price.

Did you try printing from Paypal?
Thankfully stamps.com gets it right every time!

Same here. Won't let me print a label for tomorrow. It costs me more to ship via USPS out of paypal so I would prefer to print here... I can still print a label that shows shipment Saturday and drop it off tomorrow right?

as noted above, use bulk printing, you can select the single listing and select print labels from the header drop down.

I semi regularly print a label with the "wrong date" on it and never have had an issue, for instance printing for the next day and then realizing the mailman is running late so I put it out in "today's" Mail since he hadn't been here yet. So I would tend to just print Saturday's label and put it out for pickup Friday.

Is printing an eBay one of those things that is similar to downloading an internet onto floppy disk? 😄
Anyway, so does this mean the post offices are closed tomorrow? I thought the drinking holiday weekends were done so that the Feds always get that Monday off instead of just whenever the day falls.
If no shipping tomorrow though, then that is good, because we have an out of town appointment tomorrow over in Ontario, which will turn into a thrifting and grocery run in Nampa afterward, and will likely be an all day affair anyway.
Guess that means I better get off my booty and start getting the things that just sold an hour ago packaged up. Then may as well wait until around 4:20 to go do my happy walk to the post office, to allow time for more stuff to sell.

Ours is always closed on Saturday anyway.

Ours might as well be, they're open from 8.30 until 10 lol
There will be no mail delivery this Saturday. I suppose specifics count

And here I was expecting you to chime in and rub it in that you have a PO that operates 24/7. Are you losing your edge? 🙂

I guess so.

Listed some unicorn ornaments about two hours ago and both listings got snapped up by the same buyer. Went to print a label just now and it offered me a label dated tomorrow. Someone must have made the fix.

Same, I just printed two and they both gave me tomorrow as the first option.
