I sold something today, Thursday (Nov 9th).
Since I read this board every day, I know that:
a) eBay site maintainers mishandled the switch back to Standard Time that happened last Sunday, pushing "ship by" one (mistaken) further day forward.
b) eBay site maintainers were unable to search on the web and discover that although Friday (10th) is a federal holiday, the USPS holiday is Saturday (11th).
I have 1 day handling.
My sale today has the notation "ship by Tuesday, November 14th". Uh huh.
No way am I going to wait for Tuesday and get a Late Shipment/Tracking Uploaded ding on my account metrics. No way, no call to CS and be told that "if it doesn't affect your TSR+ status, we won't do anything".
When I clicked on Print Shipping Label next to the transaction (I use My eBay), the resultant screen had no option to print a label on the 10th (tomorrow). This has been reported on several threads on this board.
However...if I use the bulk label printer ("print 50 or more labels..."), and proceed to the Review and Pay screen, I can choose to print a label for Friday, the 10th. Yea!
This doesn't solve the problem of the glitch created by the DT to ST switch, but at least I can print a label for tomorrow and not have to stand in line at the PO and pay retail price.

I mailed Friday, no problem. My PO is closed today, Saturday Nov. 11th. the "Friday Observed" is for workers who would ordinarily have Saturday off anyway, so that they get a vacation day.
Kinda nice not having to get everything packed and to the PO by noon. My PO is only open from 10AM to noon on Saturday.
