How do I opt out of this? There is already an option for GTC if I want to use it! My store will become stagnant if the same things are always listed.. I rotate out over 2000 items to keep my store fresh! Why can't ebay just let us run our own business and they just give us a venue to sell.. STOP TRYING TO RUN OUR BUSINESS FOR US!!! I can see why so many of my friends left Ebay and went to Etsy for selling...

You said you rotate your products so just rotate the item/items you want to before it/they auto re-list. It sounds like you already do that. So it shouldn't be much different for you. Don't Worry Be Happy 😄

I’m totally with you on this one. eBay turn on auto relist, default listing to this along with best offer and charge you if you turn it off. Then they suggest we lower our prices or automatically opt in to EBay lowering our prices for us. They manipulate everything in their favour without considering how the seller wants to trade. So annoying. I rang eBay and asked them to turn off auto relist because it was charging me 35p a go which soon mounts up. They said they would do that for me and all of a sudden it all starts again. Anyone figured out how to turn this off yet?...

I talked to them for an hour today and nothing we can do about it,, if sellers would call and fuss about this stuff enough they would change it I'm sure,, they did with the stupid markd now thing thry tried with the 15 wait period...

Looks like you only list about 20 items,, I have over 2000. Not that easy with that many listings,, I roll them over almost weekly,, I don't have time to end then relist 500 items a week.. And for your information,, I am happy till ebay tries to run my business for me..

My listing total can vary !! As most of MY ITEMS are ( BIDS ) and are not listed very long. You said you rotate your stock. So you have to know what you want to rotate before it auto-re-lists !! You will have to pay MORE attention to your listed items. Just end those listings before they auto re-list and then add your new items. That's the way you are going have to do it or all of your items will auto re-list. If you can't handle that then I suggest you downsize a bit until you get the hang of it !! Don't Worry Be Happy 😀

BeardedBovine posted a way for Premium and above store subscribers to avoid auto relists at the following link

I just set my Automation Preferences. We'll see if it works.

If you don't list in large amounts and list on fixed price then why are you on my thread giving advice? I have other things to do rather than sit and stop listings everyday and relist the ones I want.. YOU of all people don't need to be trying to tell me how to run my business.. I've been doing this for 15 years now.. I get the concept even if you don't !!!

I'm dealing with it by looking for other sites to sell on. Etsy and Bonanza are already some I use. Anyone else have any ideas?

I contacted Ebay several times about this, the reply was nothing we can do till they see how many are not happy. Then maybe they will walk it back. Till then,,, no way to change it,, I am a premium store and this stinks!!

I believe some sellers may not understand the time and work involved in manually managing that many listing. The reality is, sellers should not have to manage listings in the manner suggested by some sellers.
Unfortunately, about the only thing you do as a seller regarding this issue is to lodge a complaint with eBay corporate and hope you are not the only one and they reconsider this course of direction. It is one thing to incentivize GTC, it is another to basically mandate it.
In the mean time, sellers will just have to figure out how we are going deal with it.
Good luck to you!
Cheers
If they rotate them out didn’t they already have to manually manage them? They had to manually manage when to relist? Now they just have to do the opposite and manually manage when to end ?

So you don't really even list fixed price? Why are you trying to patronize people by telling them how simple it is to change over to this? We know what this entails. I truly don't get what you're trying to accomplish here. Do you work for eBay?
Strangely enough, a viewpoint or opinion that is different from yours does not indicate that person is an Ebay employee, although for some reason, that seems to be a go to assumption on the Boards.
If that were true, it could just as easily be assumed that those being against an Ebay policy were employees of Etsy or Amazon.
