I wanted to try using coded coupons so I deleted every Markdown Sale or Best Offer I had going on in order to apply the coded coupon to all my inventory. You know, to simplify things.
I discovered this afternoon ... after the coded coupon has been active on my items since yesterday ... that when a buyer searches by LOWEST PRICE FIRST the price reflected on my items is the undiscounted original price so my items are showing up waaayyy down the list where people who shop for the lowest price won't even see it.
Now I have to delete my coded coupon and re-do every single Markdown Sale and Best Offer that I had going on before all this.
GRRRRR.

Well of course it works that way, that is how coupons work and not just on eBay. The discount is only for someone who has a coupon, how are eBay going to know which users viewing your listing (in search results) has a valid coupon or plan to use a valid coupon?

The bright red sentence to the right of the listing should say "30% Off coupon must be applied for this price" or something of that nature. If eBay has the "of course" attitude you have, and continues to not consider coupon discounts in *search by lowest price*, then I will never ever use that feature again. Buyers have to see my items in order to buy them.
