So I just got started with trying to sell items on eBay about a month ago. This whole time has been quite the learning process and I have had so many problems already. My biggest issue is now with selling a PS4 ( have been trying to sell it for 3 weeks ). Someone purchased it (https://www.ebay.com/itm/302596783802), I paid $17 for flat rate to get it to the buyer as quickly as possible and I kept up with the tracking number to make sure there were no issues. 13 minutes after the item arrived the buyer wanted to return the item for 'no controllers'. The item says exactly what it includes, and pictures of everything that is included.
Oh, and that isn't even it. The buyer didn't want to pay return shipping or the 20% restocking fee, so he says there is something wrong with what I sent him. I don't know what to do, I sent multiple messages to the buyer about this, no response. I have to respond to this by the 19th and I can't afford to pay out of my own pocket for return shipping and fvf...

I don't think that would have done much good the buyer clearly didn't read or likes to mess with sellers and cost them money.
Why do you claim the buyer didn’t read, when the controller IS mentioned in the listing?

The controller isn't mentioned in the listing nor is it shown in the pictures, do you mean eBay's catalog entry? that should never count as someones description it's just a tool to find items easier not a description of contents, even then I don't believe the buyer even read that they just assumed something because why not eBay has them covered anyway they don't have to take responsibility.

EBay’s product info was posted in post #7; it clearly mentions the wireless controller.
And I wouldn’t send an aftermarket controller as a replacement. That’s still SNAD. If I sell something with aftermarket parts, I clearly state that in the listing.
No, it did not state a controller is included. The specs say that the device SUPPORTS a camera and a wireless controller.
Device Input Support | Camera, Wireless Gaming Controller |
It is powered by an AMD Jaguar 1.6 GHz CPU und comes with built-in Wi-Fi and Bluetooth.
Absolutely no mention of any controller coming with the system.
And if you look at any other brand new listings for the same item, controllers don't come with them either.

It's not mentioned in the catalog entry either. All it says is that it supports a wireless controller.

I see “the wireless controller” in the product details in the listing.

So where is thatsallfolks coming up with this mysterious controller that is supposedly included? that leads me to believe the buyer did not read or just assumed things.

"you can use the SHARE button on the wireless controller. " doesn't say it's "included".

They are reading something into the specs that simply isn't there, as I've explained in my prior post.

But you DON'T see where it's included.
As I said, which I doubt you did/will do, look up the other exact products and read those also.

I did not look up the listing but previous posters said that the catalog product description stated it was included.
My apologies if this is incorrect.

Language is important. “With the controller” indicates that it’s included.

Context is even more important. "With the controller" implies that it may be included, not indicates. Just because it says that you can do things 'with the controller' doesn't mean that it's included. And the specs do not say a controller is included. I've proven that above.
Albeit the catalog info should say "With a controller".
I also agree that since they aren't happy, get it returned and refund the buyer and relist as 'console only' to eliminate any of this.

“Albeit the catalog info should say "With a controller".”
Yes, “a” controller would be proper if one weren’t included. “The” controller gives the expectation that it is.

This is all silly. OP put what was included. Some buyers are dumb - simple as that.
