I do not mind the new view way. HOWEVER...

HI!

However, I wish as I was listing my items I would see 1 view. I have had many, more than a dozen buy something or bid on the item as soon as I listed the item.  Anyway when I saw I had a view I would keep listing as long as I could. It was kind of like a game will someone buy something right away, will I recieve a bid on an item. It was exciting for me to list items. I do not have much excitement in my life. I was just wondering am I the only one who feels this way?

      Thanks & HAPPY 4TH OF JULY ✨

Happy 4th to you also!

I have had items sell recently that show Zero views.....so wonky, that I have stopped caring about views.  Meaningless, evidently!

That very first view you got right after you listed might not have been a real person but was the eBay "bot" who was checking the listing process. At least it would let you know that yes, your listing had made it through the system and was ready for real viewers.

When eBay decided to eliminate all the bot views they also killed the eBay bot view. I wish there was a way they could bring it back as it was sort of that completion of the listing process.

Years ago when I first started I would get my listing up and then look at it and complain I didn't have a bid yet to the wife.  she would reply back you just listed it, give it a chance or something on that order.

then 1 day I listed something of hers and when I went to look at it when I just got it listed, I yelled to her it had a bid already! She didn't believe me until she actually looked herself. there was no way they looked at all the pictures and read the description before they bid.

they ended up winning it and found out they were looking for that exact oversize item to use in an upcoming movie. all the normal size readily available ones they figured were too small because it needed to be  a focal point that stood out so they were looking for an oversize one to fit the need.

I might have to start doing that again when I get new listings up, complain they have no bids yet and see if i get the same reaction I did years ago.
