I didn't realize how angry I would be when Fixed price 30 days was not an option to choose

I knew it was proposed as a change, just very surprised at the feeling when the 30 day option was no longer there.  Very angry.  Now just a depressing sense of loss.

Yep. Depressed, disgusted, and don't feel like doing Ebay any more. I won't be forced, I won't pay more, so will list much less, and only auction style. The less Ebay gives, the less I will give. You can only tax individuals so much before they give up or leave!
