What idiots.... the symbol not only predates email but also computers AND electricity by hundreds of years.

eBay's playground eBay's rules.......

Why would you need that symbol in a description?

What's the phrase you're trying to use it in? There might be a workaround.

The problem may actually have to do with active content -- certain JavaScript commands use @ symbols, and eBay scans item descriptions looking for code fragments. If your description includes that symbol, and the surrounding characters match a JavaScript command, your description gets flagged, even if there is no real executable code.
In some cases, no special characters at all are needed to trigger an error message. I recall a certain real estate listing that would not post until the line "Location. Location. Location." was removed.

There are plenty of ways to make a title without using that symbol. Instead of calling people idiots how about think of a way to describe your item or make a title without use of the symbol.

But since you, yourself, are not an idiot or a moron you quickly found another way to express yourself, right? Maybe simply using the word "at," which the symbol represents, say?

Then how could the OP catch the attention of buyers without that tired old 90's title:

According to the OP, he's having the problem in the description, not the title.

Doesn't really matter which it is. Just be smart enough to figure out a different way to use it other than a symbol resembling an internet/email address.

But, but that is one more keystroke..............

As everyone knows that @ just means "at" which is strange itself, as it's 1 keystroke replace 2?
Did those creating email addresses know that the world would be so darn lazy?
Anyway- no need to use that in a description as websites like this are in the 21st Century and that is all that matters.
@ means an email address.
Use "A T" ??

I've seen it used for 'around' also.

basically, ebay flags certain things like symbols that may appear in something like an email address. They do that because they dont like it when people do sales outside of their platform. just spell it out. the recipient should understand the message. and if they dont, then you might reevaluate your interaction with them.
