I add inventory to my out of stock listing but don’t get views

I have the out of stock setting active so when I sell an item it remains active just out of stock. When I have another of the item to sell, update the photos and add the inventory the listing appears to be active and in stock but I don’t get any views. This is for an item that I would expect to see hundreds of views a week and a sale likely within a day or two but instead I get zero new views. It’s like it isn’t actually showing.

How long were you out of stock? Things to keep in mind:

- Updating photos can cause the listing to go through the search reindexing process which can take up to 24 hours.

- If you've been out of stock for more than 90 days you'll have completely lost search ranking. When I have items that I know will be out of stock for a while because they're seasonal, I'll hike up the price while out of stock. That way, when I get more stock, I can drop the price back to normal and the price drop will help the listing's search placement.

Sounds like Ebay doesn't like that so they keep other sellers that don't run out of stock, in front and center and paying more for (To be seen fees)

As mentioned above, if  listing has been out of stock more than 90 days ( I even find this true for more than 30 days!!!!) it will be buried.   Solution:   relist using "sell similar"  but remember to cancel the original listing or you will receive a message about duplicate listings.    This should get you more views.

When I have listings that are out of stock and I add stock, it usually takes an hour or two for that listing to become searchable ... but ebay says it can take up to 24 hours.
