I LOST 680 BUCKS ON A FRAUD CC CHARGEBACK.PAYPAL TOOK THE MONEY

I GOT TO THE TOP BRASS AT U.S.P.S  NTERNAL AFFAIRS INVESTIGATIONS DIVISION IN WASHINGTON DC. ABOUT STOLEN ITEMS AND NO SELLER PROTECTION FROM EBAY OR PAYPAL WHEN THE SELLER HAS PROOF ON CHARGE BACKS BEING  ALLOWED UNDER STRICT POLICIES PROCEDURES AND CONDITIONS.  PAYPAL AND EBAY..LOOK IT UP CAREFULLY.

THEY ARE VERY INTERESTED IN THIS ONE PARTICULAR NY POST OFFICE.. ONE  POST OFFICE. SO HOLD ON PEOPLE..WE MIGHT HAVE A CASE.

I NOW KNOW I CAN HAVE MY ATTORNEY SUBPOENA THE CARRIER WHO HAD THE ITEM IN HIS HAND LAST... AND SAID HE LEFT A NOTE.. DOUBT IT. THE BUYER AND I WATCHED AS THE ITEM SAT..IN TRANSIT FOR OVER A WEEK..THE ITEM NEVER RETURNED BACK TO THE POST OFFICE FOR RE DELIVERY..GOT IT  DID NOT GET SCANNED AND PUT IN A BIN.. AND THEN 14 DAYS I CALLED AND THE NUMBER WENT TO A FAX..THEN I WAS STUCK AS THE BUYER TOO. WATCHED IT SIT..IN TRANSIT FOR ANOTHER WEEK..WAIT A MINUTE.,..ITS..STOLEN. ..IT NEVER MADE IT BACK TO THE POST OFFICE. GOTCHA. I WILL SIMPLY SUE YOU IN QUEENS SMALL CLAIMS COURT FOR THE MISSING ITEM.

So if you knew that a notice was left but the buyer didn't seem to be going to pick it up, why didn't you just send them a quick message letting them know that the item was at their local PO?  Yes, USPS is supposed to leave a note, but that doesn't always happen, or the buyer might have misplaced/thrown away the note.  I always send the buyer a message if I see that tracking says "Notice Left" and they haven't picked it up after a couple of days just to make sure that they're aware of what's up.  One time the buyer thanked me profusely and said that in fact the PO HADN'T left a note, so he hadn't even realized the package was there waiting for him.  It takes maybe 30 seconds and can avert problems like this.

Required of not, buying insurance is for your protection. Mail fraud happens everyday. Crooks are now filing change of address cards with post office and receiving other peoples mail fraudulently delivered to their address. Courts are full. Penalty is slap on wrist if at all. Never trust anyone when it comes to money. If you can't afford the loss buy the insurance. You won't win in court if buyer paid on cc and didn't receive item.

Agreed seller should have purchased insurance regardless of buyer's preference. I don't believe shipping damaged items are usually covered by cc agreement so buyer would also benefit.
