I find it to be insulting when asked to send an offer, When you are already the lowest price, & your competitors items are used & yours is New!, It is just Never Enough!

Offers are strange: I had two offers in a row - someone wanted a heavy item "$10 free ship", also another heavy item same (both items were quite a bit more than $10 just by themselves).  We sell to the world here - you are going to get all kinds - anyone who expects everyone to be reasonable is going to go through life disillusioned. Same goes with AI.

It's a robot suggesting it. A non-thinking agent. I think getting insulted is a little odd.

It's business as usual.  Why be insulted, or indulge in any other emotional response, for that matter, to something that is not personal?   Why waste any of your precious resources of time and energy over the trivia of dealing with the general public as a businessman?

I don’t know if I would say insulting but certain irritating. I usually counter with a no and explain I already have a great price or the best price out there

There is no way for ebay to single you out from the opportunity to send offers. If you find it insulting do not pay it any attention. I am a seller who when i feel like it send offers. Sometimes i just want to move some inventory. If a potential buyer is interested in a item that has been sitting why not send an offer. I think you have very thin skin if the offer option insults you and your a seller.

It seems many folks put things on their "Watchlist", most of which are window shopping. I am a 24/7 seller. When items pop up that are being watched, i get the "send an offer" option, and i always send an offer. Usually my offers are 5-10%. Frustrating it is, when my prices are as low as i can go and keep my shop open. However, items sitting in my inventory are not doing me any good. Patience can be difficult, as i rely on my Ebay sales, as my only source of income. Since I am 24/7, I am quickly aware that someone has put one of my items on their watchlist, and i quickly offer. Conceptually, this allows me to try to make the sale, while it's "fresh". It also shows the customer that i am active and available.....Everyone loves a good deal. One out of every offer i make, turns into a sale. Not a great thing, but every bit helps.

It is the same type of post every week or so. 

Same basic responses. Same, same. Much solid advice never heeded. 

Some things just don't change......
