Hundreds of drafts disappearing...

So get this... I have 4 employees that create drafts and make drafts live for me... ebay is my full-time business - I do $40k in sales a month. At any given point, I have between 500-1000 drafts waiting to be double-checked and made live. It's a constant cycle. However, sometime in mid-August drafts started disappearing. Every time a NEW draft was created, an existing draft DISAPPEARED. And it wasn't as though it was some thresh-hold - I can create up to 5,000 drafts in my business account. My drafts got stuck at 371. Since they disappeared, I had no way of which drafts disappeared. I have spent the last 2 weeks sorting through my 10,000 item inventory trying to figure out which items disappeared as drafts. As of right now... I have had 670 drafts DISAPPEAR. At $4 per draft created, this has cost me $$$$$$$ ... PLUS i have to pay them to LIST the same items AGAIN... PLUS I have probably spent close to 100 of my valuable hours trying to figure this out. I am a concierge member... I have a 100% positive feedback... I cannot get ANYONE to give me any answers. I have spoken to probably 20 concierge employees... they have submitted ticket after ticket for the last 2 weeks... AND NO ONE CAN GIVE ME ANSWERS. It's STILL happening as I'm trying to clear out my drafts... Now when I make a draft live, another one disappears! I had 3 drafts disappear this morning that were created September 1. Ebay is completely screwing me over... AND THEY DO NOT CARE. This will cost me between $15k-$20k to sort out once it's all said and done. Someone on the TECH TEAM PLEASE HELP!

That bites!

This doesn't help you immediately, but might in the future.  Have you considered using a third party lister like Sixbit so that you can have all of your listings-- drafts, listed, or old-- available when you need them?  The program is too big for my volume, but I've read that a lot of sellers at your level use it. Might be a similar program now, too, but I'm not aware of one.

Have you considered keeping your drafts, or at least the pictures and descriptions, in your own files instead of trusting eBay?

Is there a limit on the number of Drafts a seller can keep on file?

Hey @femmefan1946You can save up to 250 drafts through the quick listing tool on eBay.com and the eBay mobile app, and up to 5,000 through the single and bulk business listing tools in Seller Hub. Drafts expire after 75 days. More information can be found here in our help pages!

@jx2goods

I recall seeing a duration limit on how  long a draft can remain in draft status  before it finds the trash can - maybe you  have exceed that.  Tried to search and fin it but came up empty handed.  Do know if there is a quantity limit  - do some research - 'cause it is your $$ and ya ain't paying me.

Nah... it's deleting my drafts that are 25 days old, but not the ones that are 40 days old. Makes no sense. Everything from Aug 11-Aug 31 was wiped out, but anything before that was fine. And now, the system has started deleting my September 1 drafts.

Any idea why the system may be wiping out my September 1 drafts, but not my August drafts? When I create a new draft, another one disappears. Currently sitting at 230 drafts. Was between 700-800, but the new update keeps making my drafts disappear.

I have lost several as well, it started happening after the switch to the crap new listing tool. It must be a bug. For a small seller like me , not the end of the world, but I can see how this would affect you big time.  ebay is just a mess right now on many levels.

Drafts expire if not revised and saved again.   Is it 75 or 30 days?????????

"You can save drafts of your listings to finish later. You'll find your drafts on the Drafts page in My eBay, or on the Manage Drafts page in Seller Hub. You can save up to 250 drafts through the quick listing tool on eBay.com and the eBay mobile app, and up to 5,000 through the single and bulk business tools in Seller Hub. Drafts expire after 30 days."

Calling CS was a waste of time. It's doubtful they submitted any ticket at all. But they did get you off the phone. As far as your legitimate problems being addressed by eBay are concerned, Customer Service (eBay) does indeed not care.

Impossible to tell when:

A) Even eBay doesn't even know

B) Everything is broken
