Hundreds of Good Till Cancelled Listings Ending?

Hello,

Does anyone have any information on Good Till Cancelled listings suddenly ending? I have had 4-5 a week just end suddenly but tonight its nearly 200 listings, some which have been active since 2015.

Let me know if there is some NEW thing I missed and if anyone has any suggestions.

You answered your own question: the listings have been active since 2015.

Suggestions: Don't use GTC unless your listing is multi-quantity or multi-variation. When you use GTC end your listings & relist if they have not had a sale for 4 weeks because you will drop in search placement and you will risk eBay ending your listings if they are up for too long.

You need to go back and read the last few seller updates.  eBay has implemented several new policies that would be reasons them to terminate your listings for not complying.  You'll need to review them all to determine which was the reason for your listings being ended.

Yes, eBay announced about a year ago that they would be removing “stale” listings for those items that have been up for years with little to no changes/sales. This notice was sent to a seller who posted it on the boards. It read:

“This is a notification to let you know that this Thursday ebay will be ending any listings you may have listed that have not had a sale in 2 years. This is to remove stagnant inventory from ebay  and to encourage sellers to make changes or adjustments to their stagnant listings to make their listings competitive or relevant, and to help increase your sales on items that are not currently selling.”

Thank you. Thanks to everyone who replied. I used to have an Ebay associate but they left the company and I have some catching up to do.

I think you are right as they all appear to be very high dollar listings with few, if any, sales. The theory was that if they sat there and only got a sale every year or two we would still be profitable. I guess a new stratagy is in order.
