Hi,
I would like to sell some new products, but unfortunately for those products I dont have a warranty. I would sell them as a private person, since I do not have a shop....
But the problem is that Paypal offers 6 months protection for buyers, and with that I have no problem because that's good.
but
how can i protect myself as a seller ?
I would normally state clearly in the description of the product that the product has no guarantee, and with the purchase they confirm that they have read it and understand that the product has no guarantee. and therefore I do not accept the return of the goods.
but again
for example if the product becoms faulty after few months, and buyer asks for the refund.
where at same time i stated clearly in the description of the product that the product has no guarantee, how will Ebay and Paypal react ?
So again how can i protect myself as a seller ?
what I need to write n the description of the product ?
Do I need to add something in the settings as well ?
And last, I do not want to deceive anyone, but simply I can not offer a guarantee because I simply do not have it. and I want that a potential buyer understand that.
Thank you

On ebay, there is no 'bullet-proof' way of protecting yourself, as a seller, no matter what. If the ebay money-back-guarantee doesn't get you, paypal still can and, if they don't, a credit card charge-back can.
It may be a comfort to know that many manufacturer's will not honor a warranty for their product, if sold on ebay.

There is nothing that you can put in your listings that would circumvent the guaratees offered by ebay or paypal. When you signed up to use ebay and paypal, you agreed to their TOS and they will both hold you to that agreement should an issue surface.

Warranties are serviced by manufacturers, or in some cases authorized retailers or service centers. In most cases Warranties are void on items sold here since almost no one here is a factorty authorized retailer.
That is not related to the fact that buyers can return almost anything here to the seller for almost any reason.

Looking at other listings on eBay for the products you want to sell, find several brand new and find several that are used but in exceptional/mint/like new condition.
What is the price difference between these two?
If you can sell the brand new items as Condition: Used and still make the profit you want to make, consider that as an option. Selling an item in Used condition will absolve you of any warranty claim made by a Buyer. However, it won't insulate you against any other claim of Significantly Not As Described (SNAD) on either eBay or PayPal due to the fact that SNAD claims are "rigged" in the Buyer's favor by both eBay and PayPal since when an item is claimed to be SNAD by a Buyer, both eBay and PayPal default to agreement with the Buyer and as a Seller you have to make good.

Let's see... you're in the Republic of Croatia. I'm curious as to what you might be selling new or used that buyers in America might want that we can't get here?
Your Major Droid website for sale is interesting. I've been wondering how one would be able to evaluate Chinese phones and who would be doing it as there seems to be no particular market or need or income potential for the $13,000 your asking.

Hi,
I do not understand the point of your question? Therefore I can ask you why people buy on Ebay?
However, I intend to sell some new gadgets as used because of warranty policy.
Also Croatia is in European Union, therefore if the buyer is from European Union then there is no additional cost for them like taxes. But my listing will be available worldwide, and i will list items with lower price then on online shops.
About my listing for Major Droid website, there is actually a huge market for Chinese mobile phones that grow every year. Unfortunately for the US market is not so much developed due to diferent mobile frequencies. But for Europe, and some other states like Australia grows year after year.
Also you are wrong about income because in last 12 months i received gadgets worth now more then $9000. After you are done with review, you can keep it or sell it. however the final price for the website is negotiable. If you are interested you can make an offer.
