I sold 16 listings of a single product through ads. Unfortunately, my goods did not reach me because of the war in Ukraine. Accordingly, I am forced to make a return to my customers. Will I get my advertising commission back? It's about $470 and that's a problem for me. I don't know how to explain this to my customers 😞 It will be very frustrating if I cancel orders, lose $470 in commissions and get a lot of negative feedback on top. I hope I can get my item before tomorrow - to send it to my customers.
Regards , Yuri.

I am truly sorry about your current situation, unfortunately I do feel you jumped the gun in selling items you potentially do not have to fulfill. You should get all your ad money back but I am not 100% positive on this.

Thank you for your response. I still have hope that tomorrow my goods will be found and I will be able to send parcels to buyers. If not, then I will cancel the transaction and return the money. I'm very worried about whether the promotion commission will be returned to me. I hope my clients will understand me and will not respond negatively. This is my first time in such a difficult situation.

I don't think any US seller on this board is going to be able to give you good advice....... Your location seems to be very near, if not in, a "hot" zone....... Needless to say, we are empathic, and I can't imagine what it's like....but have to wonder if any mail service can be very reliable... There are mail delay warnings now on the
listings.
In normal times, from US standpoint......if you can't deliver the goods and cancel the order due to Out of Stock, you'd be in a multitude of trouble and your fees would not be returned......how true that will be in this situation, I don't know. I would certainty be proactive and write each buyer what the situation is and how dedicated you are to try to get the items to them. (copy/paste a message). But I would also take the listings down that you presently have up......before there are more problems and before the buyers to whom you owe items feel like you may be lying to them.....
Again, you are in a tough spot in more ways than one........and I'm really sorry that anyone is having to go thru this type of thing........but you do have a responsibility to your buyers, as you obviously know. If buyers have started cases and Ebay says it must be resolved before tomorrow (when you might get the items) , grant the refunds..........because not to do so harms your account...... (Seller unresolved defects).......at least here, in normal times.

I don't recall ever reading that an out of stock defect results in the seller's fees not be returned. Could you please post a link to where it states that. Thanks

Dear friends, thank you for your messages. Thanks for support. We have terrible things happening in Ukraine. I live in central Ukraine and am relatively safe. The product that I lost was coming to me from the hot zone. That's why I'm having problems. I really hope that my customers will understand this situation. The whole world condemns Russia's actions. Russian soldiers are killing Ukrainian civilians.
I continue to work for eBay because it is now the only source of income for my family. We are trying to survive in this difficult time for us.
I wish you all good health and peace.
Regards, Yuri.

It's not always instantaneous. But you will get the fees back for sales made with a promoted standard listing.
Have seen it take a day or two to show up.

Anyone who gives you neg feedback because you are struggling to ship because of the war, deserves to spend eternity in infierno.
To show my support for Ukraine I’ve made purchases from Ukrainian sellers and told them to ship when they can, and if they can’t then consider my purchase a gift.
That said you need to refund your buyers if they request.

And you stay safe with your family Yuri, we're all keeping you in our hearts and prayers.
