Hello I shift the plant yesterday in the buyer contacts me furious. I have my handling time for 3 days, and they never asked me to wait on shipping it's not my job to keep up with their weather. How can I handle this professionally.
Here is his message.
(Why the Hell did you not wait till next Monday???? You just destroyed a nice Plant and seriously wasted my time...let alone elevating my Blood Pressure! This will sit over the weekend now in Trailers at usps 3 nights at 25, 18, 15 degrees.

My handling time was set for 3 days it was only day number two when I shipped it.
But apparently they think one extra day is going to kill the plant they wanted me to shape it on Monday but never contacted me or disgust anything with me or can I hold it for em, I would have gladly held it. Any advice should I just ignore I'm sure he's going to find stuff wrong with it all I need is a picture requirement. Thank you for your time concern and replies.

Why not use a warming pack during bad weather?

Hello Customer,
Thank you for your purchase.
I am obligated by ebay to ship within our 3 day handing time.
Let's hope the plant makes it to you ok.
If it doesn't, please contact me and we can work something out.
Customer satisfaction is our number one priority.
Sincerely,
The Seller

Why did the buyer order when it is so cold at their location? Why didn't they wait for warm weather?
I'd do an intercept on the package & cancel their order. Nip this problem in the bud, so to speak.

OK, so "shape" and "shift" equal ship?
03-17-2023 04:56 AM
Well I would apologize and advise them that ebay holds us to a shipping time standard and that it's policy for you to ship within your stated handling time frame.
Then I would advise them to seek medical attention for their ailments and wish them all the best.

"Dear Customer, do you think I'm a mind reader? Next time you want something specific ask directly with words instead of expecting me to be professor X with your order." lol

I message the buyer when I ship. Sorry (Buyer), eBay says I have to ship your item.

OP - the buyer is the problem here. Why make a purchase and then lay it on the seller for shipping when they were supposed to?
I live in New England. I don't order anything that can be ruined by freezing temperatures in the middle of the winter. Its just common sense.

Dear Buyer,
eBay requires sellers to strictly follow its rules in shipping. All packages must be sent in a timely manner, within the seller’s handling time. It is not a choice, but an eBay requirement.
However, in order to make an exception to accommodate a buyer’s specific needs, the buyer would need to contact the seller about the issue prior to shipping, to work something out.
I deeply regret this has caused you concern. Should the plant not arrive in the as-described condition, please let me know, and we will make it right.
Sincerely,
The Seller

Common sense is not that common. 😉

That's nonsense. The mail keeps moving over the weekend; they don't just stop what they're doing until Monday morning. You might try sharing the tracking info with your knucklehead buyer, which should show steady movement over the weekend as well as through the week up to delivery. (Has he received it yet?)
