I received my first and only negative feedback from a buyer in my 2+ years of selling on eBay. I feel the feedback is unwarranted, and want to request it to be removed. I sent a report of the buyer and I haven't heard anything from eBay since then. Do I have to call eBay?

Call on the phone and present your case, but even when I had evidence of a lying and corrupt buyer who admitted in messages that we sent back and fourth that eBay reps both read, they still did not remove fraudulent feedback left by a pathological liar who made a false claim that I sent him a used item in his claim, yet in the messages eBay read he said he never said it was used.
eBay uses no logic whatsoever in their so called cases of fraudulent feedback.
The report a buyer link is meaningless also, eBay would have to get a thousand reports on a buyer to sanction them.

"Cool guitar"
That was your total description of the item. Not good.
Buyer says you did not help when he reported issues with the item. That is an opinion. Only the buyer can help you here.

Agreed. That is a buyer's recourse when a seller refuses to fix an issue.
It has also presumably been longer than 30 days since the buyer left feedback, which is the time limit for requesting feedback removal. There is no reason eBay should remove that neg.
Provide better customer service next time, OP. If the buyer files a dispute with PayPal, you will have to accept the return and issue a refund. The buyer can get reimbursed by PayPal if he lives in the US and agrees to PayPal's terms for a shipping refund.

Just being honest, you have a snowball chance in hell of getting that feedback removed unless you are paying eBay for an anchor store, I have seen eBay protect high volume sellers who pay them big bucks for a store that rip off thousands of buyers every year, but for a small seller, read the first line in this post.

Pretty sure 99.999% of all sellers feel their negative feedback is unwarranted. I just got a neutral that claimed my CD was a copy. It wasn't. I tried to respond and eBay's page screwed up before I could finish. Oh well. We move on...

eBay will never remove that type of FB. It's the buyers opinion...an That's what eBay will tell you.

Yes. What timemachine said. If it doesn't violate Ebay policy you have zero chance of removal.

Actually, I did not refuse to fix the issue. That is why the feedback is unwarranted. I don't know why some people on here feel the need to butt into other people's business and make ignorant asssumptions. My question was-- do I have to call eBay? But if it's a 30 day window, then I guess i can't now.

your only hope is if the buyer "feel' bad about what they wrote....BUT don't think you have a hope!
that doesn't violate any policies, and seem to quite fair and accuate... right? You have to deal with an issue...and think you thought out of sight out of mind...
you'll live, to sell another day...maybe learned from it too.....

I did respond to the buyer. Hence the feedback is unwarranted.
It doesn't say you didn't respond it says you quit responding.
However it doesn't qualify for removal and it's too old at this point even if it did.
