I had an order come through with a subsequent request for cancellation. The order was in my notifications, but not the request for cancellation. I shipped the order and then later saw in my emails that the buyer had requested to cancel the order. Where can I provide feedback to eBay about potential changes/fixes/upgrades to put in a stop so that a seller has to see/view/process the request for cancellation before it allows the seller to ship the item? Thanks for any helpful insight you can provide.

So... you sold an item and the buyer sent a message to your email (not through eBay messages), requesting cancellation?

No, apparently they requested to cancel the order via the order which triggered an email from eBay saying "the buyer requested to cancel this order". However, when I went into eBay under "Notifications", it only showed me the actual order to ship and no additional notification that the buyer wanted to cancel. When I opened up the notification to ship the order, it allowed me to walk through the process of shipping the order without any stop or making me acknowledge that the buyer had requested to cancel. I had no idea. It wasn't until I checked my email hours later that I saw the email that eBay generated to me when the buyer had gone into the order requesting to cancel it 30 minutes after they had placed it (before I had shipped it in the system).

I have had this happen to me. The cancellation request message comes in after I had shipped. Quite frustrating!

Not what happened here...............buyer requested cancellation within 30 min of sales....and seller didn't see it in their messages until hours after they shipped. I get notifications (bell thingy) of emails, but I also check emails on ebay before I ship.....knowing how emails go astray........just seems best.

When I buy ink cartridges for my printer on ebay, they have often expired 6, 8 to 10 years ago. ebay has sent me several forms over the 22 years i have been using ebay, asking me about how to improve ebay. I have suggested that sellers be REQUIRED to disclose the expiration date on the auction page (for ink cartridges or any other expirable items) as they are supposed to provide thier selling place of origin. A simple one line would do. "Does the item you are selling have an expiration date? If "yes", give this date. ebay could REQUIRE THIS for any item having a expiration date. Otherwise the auction page is fraudulant description. I have suggested this in the forms sent from ebay several times. However, my suggestions have never been recognized by anyone and they have never been implemented.
