I am not very good at obtaining past sales from eBay from their download section. Very complicated but I tried and I must be missing something.
What I need to do is obtain the total sales tax that our customers paid for 2017. I would like to do it by state but I can collect total sales tax and then sort out by state thru OpenOffice spread sheet if need be.
Or is there another way to do this other than the above?
Thanks for the help

I looked at several of your listings. A couple of them said that you collect tax for PA (6%) but the others didn't have any sales tax at all. You appear to be located in PA, so if you are registered with the state, then you can collect sales tax for deliveries within your state, but why would you be charging tax on deliveries to other states? You're not required to do that, and many buyers will object to be charged a fee that they are not required to pay.
Have you made any sales that were shipped to PA?
For lower volume sellers, it looks like PA requires the sales tax to be remitted either quarterly, or twice a year.

Paypal will have them for download in January.

Sorry if I gave you the wrong impression lacemaker3. No, we do not collect sales tax from any customers other than ones we ship to in PA.
What I meant by my statement was that if eBay only had available for example detailed sales for the year for download I could sort out the sales by state and total my sales collected for PA.

rixstuff will the report from PayPal be specifically just for the sales tax collected?
I was able to generate a report of sales for last year and one column was labeled "Sales Tax". I brought it in thru OpenOffice spreadsheet. I guess I can get my total sales tax collected that way then.

You can print it right from Paypal. Yes it will be broken down to several important sections.
Good Luck Selling!
