I used ebay years ago and never had an issue. I was expecting things would be a bit different years later, but I'm hoping you can explain to me what I did wrong this time. I always thought there were 3 different ways you could list an item. 1. list it to be auctioned. 2. Or list an item with the price you want for that item and add on or (best offer) and 3. Put in a reserved price. I have always listed an item just to be auctioned off. I didn't have a problem with the first two items I listed, but evidently, I did something wrong on the other three items I listed. Some one wrote and said I wasn't allowed to take bids. I noticed buyers were making offers but I didn't know why. Then, all the bids were retracted. Then I was notified, that I wasn't to give out any personal information. I didn't think I was, but the first item I listed, it asked why I was listing this item, and I said, my family wasn't interested in what I was selling and since I was a senior, I made the decision to auction the doll off. So now, I'm afraid to list anything else. I finally decided to call ebay. I couldn't get a hold of a real person so that's why I contacted community help line. Most the people were very nice but one of the people said it didn't matter that I was a senior and if I didn't know what I was doing to get my kids to help. I felt like that was a very rude answer. I am not trying to do things against the rules. I just asked for help.

Most of your listings are auctions. One listing the Thumbella doll is auction or best offer so that is why your getting offers. You should check the spelling as it might be incorrect. I'm no toy seller however, another might come along and clear that up.

It appears to me that your first two dolls sold at Auction. Of the four you have listed now, three are listed as Auctions (and are receiving bids) and 1 is listed as Auction (no bids yet) with the 'Or Best Offer' option added.

There are only two formats for listings: Auction and Fixed price, which is sometimes confusingly referred to as "Buy it Now". The term "Buy it now" is also used for the option that can be added to auction-format listings.
"Best offer" can be added to either format (auction or fixed price).
The "Best Offer" option and the "Buy it now" option will both disappear from an auction-format listing when it receives a bid.
"Reserve" is another option that can be used with auction-format listings, as a minimum amount below which the auction item is not considered Sold when the auction ends. There is a significant nonrefundable fee for using this option; experienced sellers just start their auctions at the lowest amount they'd be willing to sell for, in case they get just one bid.

Maybe Thumbelina?

It seems you may have misinterpreted the responses on your message of 07/01/23.
You stated that you are a senior and you get confused. It was suggested that perhaps you could get your family to help you with eBay dealings. Not rudeness, just concern because selling on eBay can go wrong if you are unfamiliar with the way it works. People want to make sure you, as a seller, do not get scammed out of your merchandise.

HI Kid.. hehehe
I am not sure, but if you would like to turn off the best offer... You may still be able to do that if there are no bids.
Click edit, Slide down the page about 3/4 of the way.
There should be a box with a slide option, that says something about best offers.
Click the little slider over.
