How to maintain the number of sold items when I relist it

Dear All,

I just started my ebay business, and have been able to sell some items. Usually I list my item for "Buy It Now" and its duration is usually 7 days.  Therefore, I need to relist my item one time every week. However, I found it is annoying that the number of items sold in the previous weeks for the same goods does not show in my new period of selling. I believe the customer is more willing to buy the goods which has been sold to someone else before.  So I wanna ask, how to maintain the number of sold items for the same goods even if I relist it. Thanks very much for your kind help!!

Do not use GTC, the longer it stays active, the less it shows in searches and eventually eBay will remove it. Use what was suggested, but 30 day fixed price instead and just relist every 30 days.

This is not completely accurate. If the item is selling then that increases search visibility for up to three weeks. It helps your search placement.

If the listing has not had a sale in 3+ weeks then it starts to go down in search and you can end the listing and sell similar making sure to adjust your quantity.

eBay is removing GTC listings that have not had any sales in 12+ months. I have GTC listings a few years old but they stay active with high search placement because they sell regularly.

@keviwan-657 Take a look at Jimmy's post above. If you are determined to use 7 day listings instead of 30 day listings then your option is to keep plugging along the way you have been. GTC works with a 30 day listing renewal and you cannot change that time frame.

You need to use multi-quantity Good Till Canceled listings.

Perhaps in conjunction with the out-of-stock option.

@slippinjimmy Thanks Jimmy. I will go with the GTC option.

Re: How to maintain the number of sold items when I relist it

@badwolf12 Thanks a lot! I will try GTC instead of 7 days selling. You mentioned that the GTC listing will be renewed every 30 days. Does that mean it will go up in the search after 30 days even if no one item has been sold?

If I choose to end the old GTC selling by myself and sell similar, the previous sold number will not appear in my new GTC selling, right?

Thank you very much for your patience in answering my question. It really helps me a lot!

As per my above post, if no sales in 3 weeks it will start to drop in search. Depending on how competitive the category is I may leave the listing for another month letting it gradually drop and see if another sale comes in, or I may end it and sell similar for a refresh, remembering to adjust my qty as necessary.

Remember that an automatic renewal every 30 days will come off of your included listings for the month, unless they are all used up in which case you will be charged a listing fee.

Correct. Also make sure to set up the OOS option that Jimmy linked to above.

No problem! Happy to help if I can.
