How to increase paid shipping

Hi,

For my listings, I use free shipping which is standard shipping and paid which is express shipping. But almost always the buyers just buy with free shipping. I wonder how to increase paid shipping because for me is better to use express shipping because the buyer will receive his item faster.

Either, remove free shipping policy or make lower price for express shipping. I'm a buyer mostly and when I see different shipping options, I choose less expensive (i.e. free shipping) even if it will take extra 2-3-4-5 days to receive. I (personally) don't use eBay for extra urgent purchases and looking for ways to spend less when buying. Other buyers (most likely) do the same.

That is, there are no much options to you apart from removing free shipping policy. Though, this may affect your listing in search (since free shipping is often prioritized).

Thank you for advice. I also don't think to remove a free shipping because this will be affect on my listings. I haven't a business policy in my listing description, so i wonder if i show two ways for shipping, whether this can help me.

Maybe you can offer free local pickup on some of your listings. Some buyers may need their item(car parts) as soon as possible.

Barely this will help. Buyers don't tend to read the listing entirely. They often see three things: image, price and shipping price (primary, which is free shipping). Then click buy -> pay. Then they are offered to choose shipping options. Most will select free shipping, just because it is free.

As other guy suggested, you may include local pickup as an option. But it is reasonable for local buyers only and may depend on items you are selling.
