what about priority mail some of those books for sale are over 1b or over? but priority is expensive.

Unless you are offering free shipping, your buyers should be paying for shipping.
And, if you ARE offering FS, that shipping cost needs to be built into the price of the item.
BTW, when I check out your items, it looks like you're purposely losing money over and over.

I am and I may have to raise my sale prices I have experinced when I'm selling should I raise my sale prices to not lose more money.

If offer free shipping who pays the free shipping the seller or the buyer?

Great reply to that negative feedback.
I would have NO hesitation buying from you.

"like what kind of advertising"
Direct quote from USPS regulations: "Media Mail packages may not contain advertising. Comic books do not meet this standard. Books may contain incidental announcements of other books and sound recordings may contain incidental announcements of other sound recordings."

I don't sell recordings I am thinking about going back to priority mail when I bought some books a little while ago they had priority mail as a choice along with free shipping and media mail. change my shipping business policies to do that.

"I am thinking about going back to priority mail"
Many of the new USPS Ground Advantage price rates are much cheaper than USPS Priority, and you can now ship up to 70 pounds, unlike the previous USPS First Rate Package restriction of less than 1 pound.
But USPS Media is STILL going to be cheaper for books than both USPS Ground Advantage and USPS Priority.
If you are seriously thinking of advertising your items with "free" shipping, keep in mind that YOU are paying the shipping charge, and NOT the buyer. Thus, you will need to DRASTICALLY raise the prices on your items to cover not just the sale price of the item, but the shipping charge, the final value fee, and the 30 cent eBay selling fee.
"Free shipping" just doesn't seem to be a workable model for you.

Parcel Select doesn't exist anymore. It was merged with FC to create Ground Advantage on 7/9/23.
ETA: I would suggest you attend Ebay Academy. Based on several posts, you don't really seem to understand selling very well. Here's the link.

"I've been reading about USPS parcel select what about that?"
USPS Parcel Select is designed for large- and medium-sized businesses, which you are not.

I'm going to read more of this then change my shipping policies. if it doesn't exist how come it kept showing up in shipping?
08-06-2023 04:33 PM
I know I don't need that.

B/C Ebay hasn't fixed everything since the rate change is new. Check USPS.com if you don't believe me. Though everyone knows it, there's a giant brouhaha about the new GA not being implemented well by Ebay.
Books should go Media Mail. You'll never be competitive with other sellers if you ship by other methods. Again, I would suggest the link I gave you. Turning a profit & being aware of competition is Business 101. If you can't turn a profit, it isn't going to work for you.
