How to get buyer choices options on listing

I want to have listings where the buyer can go to a drop-down list of option(s).

For example, not my actual item, I have boards that I want to have people decide what word(s) they want me to stencil on the board, font choice, color, etc. I don't see how to do that with just selling as I am without having a store. I see other listings where you might click on what size, or what color, you want to specify as a buyer.

Do I need ab eBay store to do that? Or how do I that if I can without having a store? Thanks so much in advance.

All sellers can use the "Variations" format option.  The "Variations" option isn't available in every category:

Be aware that if you put quantity 1 per variation item, and have 10 items 'available' for choosing, that will count as 10 items in your free listings. If you put 10 available for each, that would be 100 etc.

No, a variations listing will use up only one of a seller's monthly free insertions, same as with a multi-item regular-format fixed price listing.

However, all 10 of those items will count towards the seller's listing limits, whether it's a variations listing or a basic multi-item fixed price listing. More on listing limits here:

While I was so excited for your answer, for some reason I cannot find the "variations". My items are personalized canvas basket, decorative storage. I don't think that is a category that wouldn't have the options. So thankful if you could help me find exactly how to find the variations options. Thank you so much.
